Documents

Keep the records you'll need later.

Pay stubs, payroll history, tax summaries, and household employment documents — organized in one place, easy to find when you need them.

This is the household file cabinet — pay stubs, tax records, and uploads the employer keeps. Employees sign in to see files shared with them.

Folder of pay stubs, payroll summaries, and tax records

What Sadie keeps for you

  • Pay stubs after each payday
  • Payroll history and summaries
  • Year-end payroll numbers
  • Tax-related records generated in Sadie

What you may want to upload

  • Employment agreements
  • Reimbursement receipts
  • Tax payment confirmations
  • Insurance and other household records

Your records stay under your control

  • Employees only see documents shared with them
  • Canceling your plan does not delete your account
  • You can export what you need before closing
  • Closed accounts can be reopened for 14 days before permanent deletion
Can my employee see every document?

No. Employees see their own pay stubs after you mark a payday sent — not your whole household file cabinet. Uploads you add on Documents stay with your employer records.

What happens if I cancel my plan?

Canceling your plan stops billing. It won't close the entire account or delete your records. Closing the account is a separate step from Settings: the account is inactive for 14 days, then permanently deleted. Export what you need first. Once an account is completely deleted, it cannot be reversed.

Can I upload my own files?

Yes. On Documents you can upload employment agreements, receipts, tax confirmations, and other household records as PDF, Word, Excel, or photos. Receipts can also go on Reimbursements.

Does Sadie store Social Security numbers in Sadie forms?

No. Not from you, and not from your employee. When you download a W-2, the Social Security number boxes are left blank and editable — you type them straight into the PDF yourself, and Sadie never sees or stores them. You type your own SSN only on the IRS's own EIN site.

Files stay with your household records. Sadie helps organize payroll documents, while you stay in control of what's uploaded and shared.
