Guaranteed hours explained
Guaranteed hours are a common household-employment arrangement: a weekly hour floor you agree to pay even if a quieter week is scheduled. Sadie keeps that number next to the regular schedule so payday can account for both.

2When something changes, just record the change.
Employees can submit requests directly in Sadie, or you can record a change yourself. No redoing the entire week.
3Approve it once. Sadie updates the rest.
Once a change is approved, Sadie keeps the relevant parts of the record in sync.
So you — and your employee — see what changed and why.
4And Sadie handles the rest.
Payroll starts with the numbers already organized
Your calendar becomes the record of what happened
Taxes stay visible throughout the year
Estimated tax payments stay listed so the next due date isn't a surprise.
Your employee gets their own place in Sadie.

Questions families usually ask
Does Sadie pay my employee for me?
No. We never move money. You send pay yourself on Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or however you two already pay. Sadie calculates the net and points you to the right app.
What if hours change?
Enter the hours they actually worked for that payday. Sadie recalculates from what you entered. Don't reuse last week's hours if this week was different.
What does my employee need to do?
They open a private invite, sign in with Google or email and password, and enter their own name, address, tax choices, and how they like to be paid. You set the rate and schedule. You'll never type their SSN.
Do you file my taxes?
No. Sadie calculates your numbers and gives you the actual W-2 and W-3 forms, filled in and ready to download from Tax Center. For 2026 Schedule H, we fill a line-by-line worksheet from your paydays — the IRS's official 2026 form unlocks when they publish it. You still sign, send, and file everything with the IRS and your state yourself.
Do you collect Social Security numbers?
No. Not from you, and not from your employee. When you download a W-2, the Social Security number boxes are left blank and editable — you type them straight into the PDF yourself, and Sadie never sees or stores them. You type your own SSN only on the IRS's own EIN site.
How much does Sadie cost?
$12.99/month for your first active employee, plus $4.99/month for each additional active employee — everything included. Your first payday is free — no credit card to get started. After that, subscribe to keep calculating paydays and tax records. Public calculators on the website stay free. See Pricing for the full breakdown.
