Coverage

Every state. One honest map of what's verified.

You can set up your household anywhere in the U.S. Sadie calculates federal payroll — Social Security, Medicare, federal unemployment, and optional federal withholding — the same way in every state, and now estimates state income tax withholding too, everywhere it applies. We've verified a minimum wage and a state unemployment new-employer rate for 51 of 51 jurisdictions. We don't pretend a missing number is “done.”

Guides
Moving money or filing

Sadie never moves money and does not file for you. We show the numbers and forms; you send and file.

All 50 states + DC

Every state below has a verified minimum wage and a verified state unemployment new-employer rate, sourced from the state's own labor or workforce agency. Where a state levies its own income tax, Sadie now estimates withholding from that state's published tax brackets (Tax Foundation, as of January 1, 2025) — an estimate of that state's own official withholding formula, not a guarantee it matches exactly. Nine states have no wage income tax at all, so there's nothing to withhold there.

Everywhere, for now
  • State income tax withholding — Limited. Estimated from each state's published income tax brackets, not that state's own official withholding formula. Local income taxes and most state-specific credits aren't included — confirm with your state's revenue department if you want to match it exactly.
  • Local requirements — Limited. We don't auto-detect every city rule, including local income taxes in the handful of states that have them. Confirm local minimum wage and leave.
  • Paid leave — Guides. Sadie does not track balances or remit state leave programs.
  • Workers' compensation — Guides. We don't sell or file coverage.
  • Known limitation — We generate real federal W-2 and W-3 forms (SSN left blank), a filled 2026 Schedule H worksheet, and a filled state unemployment worksheet for every state. Official state agency PDFs and paid-leave/workers' compensation filings are still on you. The IRS's official 2026 Schedule H PDF isn't published yet.

This is product coverage, not a legal determination. Unemployment rates shown are the standard new-employer rate — once you have claims history, your state will assign an experience rate, so confirm your actual rate with your state unemployment agency. See the free calculator for an estimate wherever you are.
